I found this artifact tucked away in an old file cabinet. If you read it you will notice that the two people interviewed concerning the suicide of Kurt Cobain were Bonnie Burton, former Music Director for 530 am KUCB (Which became 1190 am KVCU in 1998) and John Martinez aka Jonny Trrrash "Lunch Hour" fame (Sundays 12-2).

ReplyDeleteWow. Thank you for posting this article Charles. I remember that very unfortunate day in April of 1994. I also remember hearing Nirvana in 1991 just three short years before his death and hearing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for the first time. That song just captured my attention like a deer in headlights. It was on MTV and I was just like,"what is this...?" I was just in state of awe of such sound. I had never heard of a song or any music like that before. I immediately bought and listened to Nevermind. I have been a huge Nirvana fan ever since. I wish that day in April never happened. I always wonder what Nirvana's music would sound like after In Utero.
