The Cure - Grinding Halt (John Peel Session 1979)

Apparently infuriated by the nearly universal adoration for Radiohead’s revolutionary “pay what you wish” scheme, Robert Smith (of The Cure) recently published a lengthy diatribe on The Cure’s official blog (in which he neglected to utilize the space bar numerous times in his frenzied indignance.) Despite his incendiary tone, Smith makes some valid arguments and raises compelling points about the perceived and prescribed value of art (read: music) in the information age.
